One of the most important moments in the process of completing the new formula car FEST09 arrived in the night between 14th and 15th June when the engine was started for the for time.

The effort for creating FEST09 the team has put out since autumn reached it's climax during the last week resulted in staring the car for the first time in the night between 14th and 15th June. The pace of the work was quite impressive during the last week, as the car had been rolled on its own wheels for the first time only two days earlier.
The end of the assembly phase also marks the beginning of another chapter of the development story - the test period has started. First tests were carried out and driving impressions captured on 17th June. A few small problems left aside, the test day can be considered to be successful without any noteworthy failures occurring or design flaws unearthed.
The team has time for testing and improving the details of the car until the end of July, the main objectives are to finish the setup for the engine and suspension and to the the the qualities and reliability of the new design in real-life conditions. FEST09 make it's racing debut in Hockenheim.
