The 2024 season of FS Team Tallinn marked a historic milestone. After recovering from the previous year's setbacks, the team came back stronger than ever. The unveiled FEST24 – an integrated electric formula car capable of driving both with and without a driver – proved to be the most successful in the team's history.

During a 50-day European competition tour FEST24 took part in five major competitions. The season began with difficulties: during pre-testing in Germany a short circuit in the battery forced the team to repair the car for 36 hours in a row. Nevertheless the car made it to the first race in the Netherlands, where despite limited preparation on a wet track the team achieved strong results and proved its speed.

From there FEST24's performances rose. In Austria the car dominated the dynamic events and secured FS Team Tallinn its first overall win in the country. In the same stride the team achieved the season's fastest acceleration time in Hungary and, despite difficult weather and technical setbacks, earned second place.

In Germany – the year's biggest and most competitive event – FEST24 shone again. The team completed runs with both driver-driven and autonomous cars, won the endurance event and finished second overall, making history by beating all German teams on their home track.

The season ended in Italy with an outstanding performance in both the dynamic and static events. FS Team Tallinn won several static event categories, stood out on the track and secured the overall win, beating top competitors such as Graz and Zurich.

In total FS Team Tallinn reached the podium at four of five competitions and achieved two overall wins, thereby proving its place among the world's fastest and most advanced student teams. FEST24's success is the result of years of continuous development, dedication and teamwork.

The previous season was very hard for the team, especially emotionally. FEST23 showed good speed, but even after a 500-kilometre test period, problems appeared at the competitions that forced the endurance runs to be abandoned. Despite this the team pulled itself together again in autumn – the car must become reliable! And so FEST24 was completed in the basement of Building 6 of Tallinn University of Technology together with students of Tallinn University of Applied Sciences – the most successful formula car in FS Team Tallinn's history.
